| Splicing & Darning Ends | ||
| 1 | Splicing sleminates the needs to darn in ends when joining a new yarn. Separate plies of the last 3-4” of each yarn end. Break off (do not cut) half of the plies on each end. | |
| 2 | Overlap two ends. Rub between palms of your hand about 15 seconds until you can feel heat. This join will hold once you knit past the join, until then avoid pulling on the join. | |
| 3 | Darning in ends With a blunt needle, weave each yarn through purl bumps for 5-6 stitches. Work new yarn toward the beginning of the row, old yarn toward the end of the row. | |
